Our 2 year old King snake has escaped (don't ask!). Does anyone have any tips or advice for finding him?
We tried leaving mice around the house to tempt him (he is a good feeder) but no result
thanks

Posted - 29/07/2010 : 00:11:26 I had two sub adult corns escape from the same viv how they got out only they know ,no open door or broken vent nothing,as I said before one turned up in my bathroom no sign of the second one yet.My Honduran milk that reappeared after 9 months got out of the same sort of viv so they are all in rubs now |

Posted - 21/07/2010 : 14:11:24 I found Haku in my fiances dressing gown pocket!! Good job I found him before he did.
Its incredible that they can get out of the tinniest of places. Hopefully I have made it as inescapable as possible, getting him out for more handling and letting him have a bit of an explore with out taking my eye off him too much. I swear if he had hands I'd get him a baseball and a mitt! |

Posted - 27/06/2010 : 22:21:17 Warm places. Concentrate within 6 foot around the viv. Check behind your fridge, oven. Inside computers. Think of where is warm and a from where a snake can actuallyget too. Mine as ecaped or hours on end 3 times. Always turns up.He has ende up Inside of my subwoofer and inside a Live Pc!! Just because you think he won't fit into little holes it's best to check.
How long has he been out for? |

Posted - 27/06/2010 : 19:25:33 sorry to hear that,i would search the immediate ares and warm areas like cable boxes ,fridges, pc's ect,you could also place bottle traps around, heres a guide to make them http://www.thekingsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=263 you could also put talc down in doorway to see if hes gone through. |
