Hi all, got this little Arizona Mountain King female from Donny show today for a bargain £35. She only hatched in July so is only tiny. I only managed to get a quick photo using my mobile but will get some more when she's settled in.

Same technique, same result!

I hope so - nothing worse that a non-eating snakey

Yay! I got Claire to eat on Tuesday. I brained a pinky and rubbed a bit on her nose, left the pinky in and in the morning it was gone! Will try her again with the same technique on Sunday. Fingers crossed she will start eating regularly now

yeah, i know the feeling, had to refrain from handling Cleo at all since she kept throwing her food up, but thankfully she is 48 hours without throwing up the last meal so im hoping that will be the end of it. Not gonna hold her for a while still tho..

I paid £80 for Sylar so I was expecting to pay somewhere around that amount so was happy when I found her for £35. She seems to have settled fine as shes nice and relaxed when I get her out and she had a good shed yesterday, only measured 13.5" so I'd guess shes actually about 10 - 11". However, I'm trying not to handle her much because shes only eaten once since I got her which is worrying me a bit, but she's lively and inquisitive so I think she'll be OK.

certainly got an eye for a bargain! i would have expected to pay around £80-120 for her (not that i know anything about the price of mountain kings!) How is she doing at the moment? all good?
magneticblue Posted - 29/09/2009 : 22:45:38
I have no idea, but I wasn't going to offer him more
jono2411 Posted - 29/09/2009 : 15:09:01

I do use Lewy's camera for the website stuff because the quality is amazing- but when i'm just going down the pub or to the seaside then I'm handbag sized camera all the way. As long as they are good enough for Facebook, who cares

I always thought my Kodak compact digital camera took good shots but my SLR is on a completely different level and its great to ahve control over all the different settings now I've got used to what effects they have. There's no way I'd go back to a compact now and its becoming rare that I use auto on my SLR, I prefer to use apeture priority for most shots

Depends on the phone, my Motorola only has a 2Gb camera, some have 4-5 Gb and would be ok. I'm still getting used to digital after years on 35mm film SLR's, mostly use a Panasonic FZ10 with Leica 10x optical zoom lens (no extra lenses to carry, just a spare inch square battery).
It does what I want it to, if I learn to use the settings properly it'll do till I can afford a digital SLR.

I had a sensible, little, light, point and shoot in my bag too. Who needs these massive cameras with 5 lenses, 2 battery packs and a 100 memory cards anyway
magneticblue Posted - 20/09/2009 : 12:52:06
I didn't even think to take my camera with me, glad I didn't take it though cos they do get pretty heavy
