Posted - 15/10/2009 : 22:28:48 Better pics Si's MBK has taken to soaking in the water bowl, we've just upgraded him from a jacuzzi to an olympic size pool lol he's had his for a while though, does he still need to be checking for mites?
I thought that some snakes just liked the water?
Also I read that some snakes soak themselves good and proper prior to shedding? |

Posted - 05/09/2009 : 15:00:54 i would use kitchen roll or any old rolls of wall paper white side up,then the mites would show up better if there are any and not sure about newspaper print rubbing off. |

Posted - 05/09/2009 : 11:45:23 Good pics of it in the water dish, really give a good idea of his size. Good advice from Lee as well. Its a good precaution to keep a new snake on paper, its easier to spot mites on paper and you can treat them earlier if you spot them quickly |

Posted - 05/09/2009 : 00:30:29 looking cool, just to be on the safe side i would keep it on paper for a bit if it's soaking it's self just in case of mites, dont get panicing it's just that they would be near impossable to spot on a mbk.My female is still in quarateen on paper after 10 weeks.Just to be sure |
