The little "tulip" symbol is macro, but to do it to competition standard you'd need extra lenses. I only recently came off 35mm film, bought an old good spec camera from eBay, looked up specs, sample pics etc here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs.asp Found a good Panasonic that does me to learn on until I can handle a digital SLR, around the £60 mark with a 10X optical zoom (digital zoom degrades the photo). At least 5 Megapixel and you should be fine. Have a look around and see what suits you as well as having the functions, my wife finds mine (FZ10) heavy, while I dislike her FZ5 |
