dragging noms around the rub.

Finally Nomming. He has a habit of just holding his prey for 10 mins before eating.

Trios tail, Think it was Lee2308 who asked how it was.
This is the best pic I could get of it.

Right I get ya :) I guess it's whatever the snake prefers too, because some won't eat out of their home, right? I don't like eating out, I don't like being watched, I would much rather eat at home. Even then I eat when no-one is watching. heheh So I can see from the snakey's point of view.

Trio was the name it came with.

Also, in regards the handling after feeding, vey good question.

Normally to return snake to the viv, I just lift the rub so the top is level with their viv, and open the top. Most of the time they'll start coming out of the feeding tub and go into their viv themselves, but if they need it then a gentle 30 second lift into the viv is different to a full on 30 min handling session.

Someone (can't remember who again) said on the cornsnake forum that the easiest way to explain it is by stating that after we've had a nice big meal, it's no problem walking to the sofa to slob out, but we wouldn't go for a 10 mile run.

Hello resident loon (Kehhlyr) any reasoning for the name Trio? ... also, I heard that you're not meant to handle a snake after feeding, and I know a fair few people prefer to feed their snakeys out in tubs like you have done instead of in the viv, so I am intrigued... how do you get said snake back into the viv after feeding?

Now that is one happy King!! Yum, yum, yum!!

Almost makes me want to eat mice???....Hey!

I did say ALMOST!!!!!!
Kehhlyr Posted - 23/07/2009 : 00:20:18
He did have 2, yes.
He has 2 medium or large mice once a fortnight. The size given depends on the size of the mice in the shop, sometimes the mediums are quite small.

He's really starting to settle with his feeds now, it's only taken since April.

Tail doesn't look at all bad now.
My boas tend to hold on to their food for 10 mins before finally eating it, but my kings tend to swallow it straight away.
