Posted - 28/01/2011 : 18:31:48 Well that was a bit fraught!
I just gave Morse a fuzzy and he took almost an HOUR to eat it! I didn't think it was too thick and couldn't understand what was taking so long.
Then I spotted one of the mouse's legs was sticking out at an odd angle, and he couldn't get his jaws round it.
After fretting a while I decided to intervene and I snipped off the leg with a small pair of scissors. Morse seemed to know what I was doing and stayed perfectly still for me.
After that, it was a matter of minutes before he wolfed the rest of it down.
Job done. Phew!

Posted - 28/01/2011 : 23:32:35 I have had the exact same problem with Marv!
He was having real trouble getting past one front leg, just like your Morse. One of my corns had the same problem too so now what I do is bend/break the fromt legs of the mouse so they move around freely and it's much easier for them to get into their mouth.
That first pic is great. What a brilliant constrict :) |
