Brained pinks, are used to entice non-feeders but it occured to me that what is second nature to most of us, may be a bit off putting for those just starting out??? Here"s an easy way to brain a pink! Defrost your pink as usual...but make it a bit hotter than you normally would. Take the pink and..using a pin prick a small hole in the top of its head!...You need to prick into the soft spot...yellow jelly stuff should come out? Smear the jelly all over the head of the pink, and place in with your fussy hatchling!
You can also snip the nose of a warm pink, which releases some blood as well...smells great to snakes!
If your really toiling and dont mind blood and guts...try cutting a pink in half lengthwise, and placing in with your snake!
I also have heard of boiling pinks and smearing with chick guts!
The things we do....But hey....Anything to get our snakes to eat. Good luck! |
