while putting new aspen in my viv to get ready for my snakes big move i noticed a little whitish mite, very tiny infact. i keep my aspen in an old mayonnaise bucket with a sealed lid. any idea what they are and should i be worried. is there anything else i can use instead of aspen as its a bit dusty and i have asthma? doesnt bother me when its in the faun just when changing it for new stuff.

Posted - 06/12/2009 : 22:48:40 you could use beech chippings,orchid bark,kitchen roll or hemp which is like aspen but not as dusty.
