hi,

while putting new aspen in my viv to get ready for my snakes big move i noticed a little whitish mite, very tiny infact. i keep my aspen in an old mayonnaise bucket with a sealed lid. any idea what they are and should i be worried. is there anything else i can use instead of aspen as its a bit dusty and i have asthma? doesnt bother me when its in the faun just when changing it for new stuff.

thanks
mark

you could use beech chippings, orchid bark, kitchen roll or hemp which is like aspen but not as dusty.
