Posted - 22/11/2009 : 02:10:06 ok so I will soon be moving my king snake into a new enclosure.
It is a 36x24x24 glass viv with a wooden top. I am however concerned about heating a glass viv this size with a heat mat as I will be moving my snake to my bedroom where the temp tends to change a lot (widow is always open as I cannot sleep when I am to hot)and I know glass does not hold heat well.
I am wondering if a ceramic heater would be a better option? or perhaps even both?
unfortunately a wooden viv or a different room is not a feasible answer as my parents want the snake to be in my room and due to their all knowing attitude believe a wood viv will smell..
what do you guys think of this? |

Posted - 22/11/2009 : 09:08:24 A wood viv doesnt smell, I have one and its fine. As long as you keep on top of the cleaning, I also have a hatchling milk snake and he will be going into a wooden viv when he's bigger. |
