I read somewhere the kings liked to climb and was wondering what do you put in their vivs to let them do so?

I have a fake hollowed log in mine also with a fake plant that I've attached to the tank so it looks like its coming from the top of the log. His favorite place to climb to though is the gap in the lid(its the flap that opens in the middle of the lid.He manages to lift himself up and just about fit into the gap that runs around the flap, luckily it locks into place so there is to chance of him pushing it open
Can't believe the strength they have to lift their bodies so high

I stripped of the bark with a stanley knife, sanded them to make them smooth and then soaked the branches in the bath in a bleach solution. Some of these branches were 6' long so I couldn't fit them in the oven so I just let them dry naturally. Will get a photo up to show what some of them looked like after I'd finished

I have bought branches in the past but got loads for free when I went for a walk in the local woods

I bought my wood from a shop that had been treated, Snoop loves it, he also loves the bulb guard as well proving that they are essential like it was said in a previous post

So far i have not seen my King climb at all, it has branches there to use if it wanted to climb but it never seems to bother.

Branches are good but they will climb on anything. My older two even cling on to their bulb guards at times (which just proves that they are essential)

I've used egg boxes, chocolate orange boxes, milk cartons and colanders. Plus more random stuff.

Trio spent hours investigating the colander, every single little round hole in it HAD to be checked, several times.

i use branches and those vines you can buy from exo-terra..., seems to work out quite nicely
