Posted - 24/08/2009 : 17:24:38 I agree with everyone else- she'll need feeding a bit more than one fuzzie a week.
Cali kings are great though, so I think you'll like her |

Posted - 20/08/2009 : 11:36:26 King snakes can be very fast but they usually calm down with regular handling |

Posted - 20/08/2009 : 09:53:18 magneticblue -don't know if she can handle an adult mice, cause she is really thin and her head is too small for that. my guess is that measurements that the shop owner gave me are wrong.
jono2411 -in Portugal we don't use feet's its all in meters. but this could be a diferent case.
she is a bit "on the dark side" cause they dont handle her a lot. oh another thing, are kingsnakes fast?? cause this one is really fast, she has energy bursts
thanks |

Posted - 20/08/2009 : 01:47:04 maybe it was meant to be 1.45 feet? that would make more sense... |

Posted - 19/08/2009 : 23:41:14 If you like the snake then go for it, but it definitely won't be 1 year old if it is 1.45m long. And if it is that long then it will need to be fed adult mice, but you will learn what it needs from experience |

Posted - 19/08/2009 : 22:41:35 nothing wrong with adults, just might have to put a bit more effort in if it has not been handled alot.go for it i say. |

Posted - 19/08/2009 : 22:11:41 or maybe the measurements are incorrect. what's the average length of a 1 year old?? if she is an adult so there nothing to worry about right??
i can get a adult or does it need to be a newborn???
thanks |

Posted - 19/08/2009 : 21:18:45 i think its a Common King snake she is black and white.
and one more thing, she can be long but she is a bit thin, not skinny
they have a web site but its on portuguese. www.casadosdiscus.com instructions: click on the tab that says "animais exóticos" (exotic animals)one time then click on "repteis" (reptiles) it will open a PDF doc. and she should be there.
thanks for the help |

Posted - 19/08/2009 : 20:19:17 sounds good, but definately up the amount of food... shops keep them on really light diets to stop them growing too quickly and costing too much in food... |
