Posted - 19/08/2009 : 12:44:06 Last night when I put Tehya's dinner in I noticed that she was looking rather strange and was more of a milk chocolate brown than a beautiful bright orange :( Does this mean that she might be finally getting ready to shed or is she dying? :(
I'm so worried for her, she doesn't come out exploring anymore and last night's meal was her 5th week exactly of no eating, and since she first went dull we are talking 3.5 weeks.
I have lowered the humidity to 60% as I was worried about her having an RI, she is sleeping in her moss hide (moss is practically dry as a bone) at the moment, but she just doesn't look herself, not just in colour but in responses to me too?
Am I worrying for nothing? |

Very difficult to say. I will check to see how old Sylar was when his sheds were 21 inches but that still might not be very accurate as snakes grow at different rates |

Posted - 20/08/2009 : 12:11:30 I checked on her this morning (accidentally disturbed her again by lifting up the coconut she was gripping the edge of it and I didn't realise) she slinked away nicely, no lethargy which is what I thought she was suffering from yesterday, she looked panicked but that will be because she can't see, but I don't have any worries anymore she's gone a tinsy bit lighter since yesterday too but still a browny colour and not her beautiful colours that she is. Hopefully in a few days time I will have a skin and I can finally feed her, I bet she's starving. |

Posted - 19/08/2009 : 15:00:12 I am a tw@, her eyes have greyed out this morning so I'm guessing she's right at the end of her shed, perhaps it has taken so long because we've had to keep disturbing her for one reason or another. Hopefully by the end of today I'll have a nice full skin complete with eyecaps to measure x |
