As for the dry head, this may be a stupid theory but when i got my first mexi he was on very small prey for his size therefor did'nt have to strech his mouth much and he had very dry skin on his head,as soon as i increased the prey size and had to really open his mouth i think that stretched his head skid enough to lose the dry skin if that make sense to anyone.

Yeah that makes sense Kaz. Come to think of it he was doing that last night, also he was showing a great interest where the two glass doors meet in the middle. I will have to keep an eye on that. Hes deffo still very active more so than ever also hes been coming out of his hides alot earlier in the evening.

I'm not 100% sure but probably listlessness, inactivity etc.

Why? Do you think he's dehydrated?

Usually losing the shine would mean they are coming up to a shed - or they've been rubbing on the tank. Naughty snakey
