Posted - 27/07/2009 : 19:47:29 I think Tehya is getting ready for a shed, she's gone quite dull and refused to feed last night being her second refusal since I have had her.
How long, roughly, does it take from changing (going dull etc) to the skin coming off?
Thanking you :) |

Posted - 28/07/2009 : 11:07:18 I try not to hold Strawbs when she's in shed, but because she's so calm, i dont think it bothers her THAT much if i did need to handle her.
She wont eat mind, refuses point blank! I've found with her that ince the milky stage starts, she sheds within 5-7days. But like Matty says, it depends on when you notice! |

Posted - 27/07/2009 : 21:52:55 their eyesight is reduced so handling is best kept to a bare minimum, some will feed, others won't.
i prefer a more natural approach generally - in blue they'd hole-up somewhere safe in the wild and not feed so i don't usually offer any food unless it's an individual i'm trying to feed up. |
