Posted - 27/07/2009 : 19:00:35 Have any of you missed one of your snakes shedding? I took a look at my Mexican Milk about half an hour ago to see if he might have shed in the hide overnight. There was no sign of the old skin, but he looks remarkably bright and alert. His body also feels right....nice and moist with no dry or sticky patches. I also had a look around the rest of the viv and didn't find any skin, though his last shed was bad and a lot of the old skin was buried in the substrate.
Finally......Is the shedding process as stressful for the snake as it is for the keepers? |
