Posted - 26/06/2009 : 21:36:53 Well tonight my Mexican Milk, Colin, fed for me for the first time He had a rat pup about a half hour ago. It did enter my mind to take a few pics, but I didn't want to disturb him by moving about, plus I was completely transfixed by it.
At least now I know I'm doing things right! |

Posted - 01/07/2009 : 18:08:54 I fed him again last night, and before I'd even got the lid closed on the little box he had grabbed the rat pup. Tuesday is going to be his regular feeding day as it fits in well with my other commitments. I'd like to know though, that as he's roughly over a year old and about 2 foot 8, are rat pups too small for him. He had last night's one devoured in under 5 minutes. The guy from Belfast who helped me out advised that I fed him rat pups for about 8 weeks or so then review it, simply because he refused the small mouse that was offered to him first. Now I'm thinking that after 4 successful feeds that he might be ready to step up. |

Posted - 27/06/2009 : 09:36:51 I fed in him a small plastic container in his viv. I didn't wanna disturb him straight after his dinner so I went downstairs for a cup of tea and a smoke. When I came back up to release him I found that he'd already escaped the small enclosure and was sitting looking out of one of his hides with a very smug look on his face :) |
