Posted - 04/06/2009 : 19:21:26 Hello all. I'm sort of looking into getting one of these.....
http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/productdetails.php?ProductID=2486&ProductGroupID=1219
I'd most likely go for the 15 watt version as I don't want to much heat. I'd like to know though where I'd get the screw type fitting that came with my viv? I've already found bulb guards.
Is this a good idea or not?
Many thanks,
Justin |

The 15 watt bulb arrived, but it's so small that it you can hardly see any light in the big viv that I have. I've ordered the next two sizes up to see if they are any better. |

Very good point. I hadn't thought of that! |

Posted - 05/06/2009 : 18:04:16 Yeah I do use a heat mat thats on a stat. I've went for the 15 watt version of the night glo so I don't imagine there will be that much heat of it. |

It does sound like a good idea, as long as the temps are regulated by a stat so the bulb won't make it too hot in there.
