Posted - 24/01/2014 : 14:28:35 I've been reading up on snake weight and I think that Teyha may be a little on the fat side? She is round rather than toned looking.
Does anyone know the healthy weight range for a sonoran?
I can measure how long she is and what her actual weight is, but I thought I would find out if this species should have a prominent spine, or whatever it's called, or not… or whether being perfectly round in girth is ok?
I will get on with measuring and weighing her.
Best wishes

Posted - 26/01/2014 : 00:38:42 She is on 1 x rat fluff (next size up from rat pup) every week, but she's had a couple of weeks without as I'm struggling to get them as everywhere else, what they class as rat fluffs are way too big, and where I normally source from didn't have any in.
I will find out her length and weight for you tomorrow.

Edit: saying that, I have just seen her climbing and when she uses her muscles she does look toned again, not rotund like she does when relaxed, I take it she would be rotund even when using muscles if she was overweight? |
