Hey guys,

My Cali king hasnt eaten for 3 weeks now. One of them weeks was during a shed so I can understand that. Nothing in tank has changed and seems very healthy, a little more active than usual if anything.

I understand that he may of reached the age where his teenage hormones are setting in and wants his leg over more than food.

If is the case can I still handle him, as normally I never have him out a day prior to feeding up until 2 days after?

any advice would be great.

Thanks guys

Two of mine refused. Last feed was 4 weeks ago and I'll try them tomorrow. If they don't feed then the Corns will get the mice.
As already said, a couple of weeks skipped is not something to get worried about if everything else is normal.

my cali king hasnt eaten now for over 4 months. she's lost a gram in weight in that time, so though i've had a couple of fretting neurotic vet-visits ( £30 a shot, thank you very much, jees) i've calmed down about it - she'll eat when she's ready, i guess.
so will yours. they can go AGES, (and i think they occasionally do on purpose, just to wind us up )

You could also try warming snakey's food a little to .

I wouldn't be to concerned, seeing as its only 3 weeks gone. Kingsnakes being Kingsnakes too will soon come around, I've never heard of Kingsnake farcing for to long. With the answers to Brian's questions we may be able to help. It usually is something to do with sexual behavior however it's usually earlier on in the year, Spring time.

Hi what age is he and what weight? You can handle before feeding without any problems. Just don't handle for a couple of days after feeding. What size food are you feeding him?
