hi its the pest again was just wondering how often i should b feeding my king snake the shop i got it from said i should feed it a pinky every sunday but evry bit of info they told me was wrong so dont really trust there advice its about 15wks old now i have tried it with the nxt size of mouse after a pinky and it struggled with it  |

try the scent trick too. Carry a sock with you for 24 hrs and then pop it into his housing. He should become more accustomed to your scent and stop the musking. The biting however.. thats just a king thing  |

It will just take time. Handling for 10-15 minutes per day and he should eventually stop musking and biting you, then again he might not. Every snake is different. |

Yeh that's what I use. I use the weight to work out when to move up a food size. For example at 30g move up to 2 pinkies. At 40g I moved up to fuzzies. Now she's over 50g she's on a large fuzzie. Every snakes different but this is what my charts show for my female hypo greyband. I will expect to move the male up in food sizes at similar weights so the charts will become a good point of reference. |

Once a week is correct. It's good to keep a record of your snakes weight too. |
