Heya all,
Can someone tell me if my snake is overweight?
I thought she looked a bit odd and after a lot of researching online I started to get paranoid....
She eats once every 7 to 10 days. She gets a lot of exercise and loves to climb.
I've been told that snakes will eat anything 1.5x their size so I decided to go a step up from fuzzies and feed her a small mouse. She immediately went for it but took her a good 20 minutes to swallow.
If a snake will eat it, does that mean its the right thing to feed? Or should I go back to fuzzies? |

Yeah you can give 2 prey items a time. I never give more than 2 before upping the feed xx |

what a beautiful snake! I'm gonna start mine on fuzzies but I didn't think you could give them two lots of prey in the same day. No wonder mine's always looking hopefully at me through the viv! lol :-) |

Mine weighs three times as much and I feed him on small mice, but then I feed him ever 5-6 days. 7-10 sounds perfect for a snake that size. |

Theres no way shes overweight  she looks a great shape and size and also a good amount G wise |

60 grams at the moment. And yea shes a greedy bugger, she has a habit of trying to swallow my finger once in a while

What's her weight just now? I would stick with the small mouse now she's taken one. I always think one larger meal is better than 2 small ones.
Kings ALWAYS ask for more. I gave my big albino cali a rat weaner and he ate it and sat there asking what was for dessert |

Do you reckon I should continue feeding her small mice if she goes for them or should I just give her 2 fluffs? (she asks for more if i give her just one) |
