I got mine from our local exotics shop - Ameyzoo in Bovingdon, Herts. Brilliant shop they sell all sorts... I still drool at the pair of Emerald Tree Boa's they have in there, although I don't think I could afford the £1800 asking price for both of them!!!

Mark Amey is great for any advice, he really knows his stuff and does loads of tv work too. If any of you have kids that watch Live and Deadly on CBBC he is the handler when they do the roadshows!

Whoop! Hope the pet shop get one in soon for you,£60 is a very good price from a shop too. They go for about £80 in the shops in my area!
I got my gorgeous boy from another member on here last year. He's soft as muck (my daughter strokes his head!). Although as mentioned by others,I don't trust him in the slightest when theres food around though lol.

I paid £30 for a snake that was about 4 years from a couple who didn't want him anymore, search preloved and gumtree :P I found the ad for mine on preloved.

My guy is such a soft sweetie :3

That is a decent price you paid. Can I ask where you bought him? My MBK seems to have the same temprement. Outwith feeding time I totally trust him but bring a mouse anywhere near him and you need to watch your fingers!!!

Hi bbjay,
I got mine in December. He was captive bred and was bred last summer and we paid £69 which I thought was very reasonable although I know a lot of places vary.

Brilliant choice of snake though! Apart from dinner time when he's a beast mine's a big softy, so don't believe half the stories you read about them being feisty!

Probably around £80 for a baby one from a shop. If you buy from classifieds around £50-150 depending on the size etc.

I was very lucky and got mine as a rescue from the sspca and only had to pay a £30 rehoming fee

Great choice of snake BTW
