Hello

I just wondered whether we should be cleaning out Nagini's viv while she's brummating?

We are trying not to disturb her too much so have only been in there to change the water and check she's alright every now and then. Should we be cleaning the viv out? We made sure she had a fresh viv before the temps started going down and she's not been pooing or active or anything.

We are going to start raising the temps again mid-january so she's only a few weeks to go too

Good- thought so, but thought I better check.

Yes Magneticblue- Nagini is being clean!!!! I might keep her under all year. She's normally a right scruff

As Scott and the others have all said a brumating snake only needs checked daily...for signs of RI or anything suspicious, and their water changed! As they are not eating, they will not be defacating, so this is all you will need!

Just clean the water bowl every now and then I guess.

Nagini not making a mess? Kaz, your stories of her being a monster snake are sounding more and more like exaggerations all the time

2 weeks after the last feed is last clean out and start to drop the temps (if you're brumating deliberately) and they should be fine till you warm him/her up and start feeding again
