Hello,

I am getting my first King on Wednesday. He is about 2/3 years old i believe, he is roughly 4 foot long but that's a guess comparing to my 3 foot corn.

I'm not new to snakes having 3 corns but doing some research just in case.

I think I've o it all covered but are there any tips for corn owner becoming king owner?

Thanks

Gaz

Thanks for replies. I have handled him a few times and he is so placid. I went in again today to get a few things and handled him, he was in shed and was still very calm and chilled out.

I spoke to a more knowledgeable guy and a got a bit more info, he is intact a High White Cali King. Apparently the bands sometimes go yellowish? He is bright White bands and instead of black they are chocolate coloured.

He was born early 2009 and has been handled regular but the guy couldn't afford to keep him so took him back to rep shop in October where he has been ever since.

Is he likely to grow much more?

I have just brought my first King home today. Can't wait to feed him and see if he's more exciting than my corn who is so lazy when it comes to food lol

congrats on getting your first king Gaz, and yes there is such a thing as a chocolate King.

The main differences you may find are that your king is more active than the corns and could possibly be a bit more nippy than a corn. Also feeding responses tend to be more exciting with a king than a corn.

Also the rep shop say he is a chocolate call king. Is there such thing?

He looks like a normal Cali, black and white Bands, but the black is like a brown colour.

Thanks

Gaz
