Posted - 10/12/2010 : 11:53:26 My kingsnake is in the process of shedding, when I looked at it this morning it didn't have the blue eye thing,its not got its greyish colour fading anymore and it wasn't in a bad mood either (for once) but I can't find the skin it might of shed anywhere so am not sure if she has actually shed any thoughts? Also is handling her 2 days after her last feed ok?

All snakes are like this, they will appear dull and then before they shed they will look as if they are back to normal and will shed shortly afterwards. |

Posted - 11/12/2010 : 20:35:56 Yep, nothing to worry about, I remember having the same worry when I got my first snake and actually phoned the shop where I got it from to see if there was anything wrong. Your snake will shed very soon, if you look closely at the scales on it's head you may also see a slight overlapping of the old scales with the new ones underneath |

Posted - 10/12/2010 : 18:09:57 your ok your not going mad,they will shed within a few days of their eyes returning to normal,they go blue then return to their normal colours before shedding.I would move your water bowl over tto the warm end to increase the humidity.Also make sure there some thing they can rub against too
