Posted - 01/12/2010 : 22:09:02 The viv is roughly the length of 2 sheets of A4 paper (couldn't find a measuring tape) and about 1 of a quarter wide, it has 2 hides 1 in the hot side 1 in the cold 3 hanging plants and 1 over its hot hide. I'd say hes the same length of the viv give or take. Iv thought of just using the heat matt but I don't think it would keep the temp at a constant and I turn the lamp off at night so the heat would just drop completely am looking at replacing the bulb with a ceramic heat emitter. |

temps are fine, however you could raise the temps a few degrees to about 30C, also you dont really need a light and a mat so save yourself some pennies and just use the one.
Assuming you are using a viv if you are using a light so what size of viv is it and what size of king is it, if he snake is small in relation to the viv may be worth having a few extra hides and plastic plants to give your snake a feeling of a bit of security. |

Posted - 01/12/2010 : 19:50:17 generally kings are out during the day.
How recently have you got it and what is your setup like for example, how old is it?, what size of housing is it in?, what are you using to heat it? temperatures etc |
