Posted - 04/09/2010 : 18:25:57 Just wanted to let yall know i picked up my wee snake today!
After spending like half an hr in the shop looking at their entire stock i went for a wee unsexed L.p.Woodini - Huachuca Mountain King.
The shop reconed she is a female but since there is no confirmation yet she has the temporary name of woodie - may cahnge over the coming days.
She is settling in nicely, exploring her wee space and i will get a few photos of her next week!
Cheers for all the help guys - she is awesome and im one happy chap! |

Posted - 31/08/2010 : 11:30:42 might try both approaches in the first few months, see what goes better and then try to establish a routine. im sure me and snakie will eventually agree on something that suits us both lol |

Posted - 31/08/2010 : 02:05:13 Yeah! Alot of people feed in a seperate tub...It stops aspen sticking to the mouse and being ingested by your snake, also said to stop your snake anticipating the opening of its Viv or Rub with food! This can cause your snake to strike at you when you have to go do water changes or anything inside its environment!?? If your snake will eat fine after being moved then i reckon thats the way to go....Some of mine are fussy and wont eat if i shift them, so i just feed in their Vivs...Have to say iv never had a problem...Long as i dont try to pick them up at night! All my snakes really do anticipate the opening of their vivs at night with food!! Personal choice, id say..Go for it if it works for you??? |

Posted - 30/08/2010 : 23:11:34 Should have no probs then! if you are keeping on aspen i put a small folded piece of kitchen roll down when i feed..Just stops the aspen sticking to the mouse> Piccies when all set up would be nice!!?? |

Posted - 30/08/2010 : 22:01:32 What is it for??...A hatchling??? It is well thought out and you have everything you need ,but if you are starting of with a hatchling you may do better (feeding wise) keeping the small one in a cricket tub or small tupperware till bigger...They tend to feed better in small cramped quarters?? Will be great once your snakie is bigger though...See what the experts say??? |
