I noticed just today that my kingsnake seems to be opening his mouth a lot, in a way where he sort of repositions it before closing it again. This worries me. Could he have hurt his mouth or a tooth somehow? He is a very bitey snake, but he hasn't bit me once in the past week because i've been off on holiday. I've also been more careful about wearing gloves. I'm going to post the link to a video of him doing this below:

Is this normal? I spot clean his cage and refill his water daily( (or ask a friend to if i'm going to be away) and give it full cleans every three weeks or sooner if it needs it. The video was taken shortly before feeding, he was doing it again afterward as well.

My first thought was whether he had just eaten as one of my snakes does this a lot after eating

Usually when they do that they are just reseting their jaw after feeding.

It does seems strange that he keeps doing it,what substrate is on?maybe theres a bit in his mouth.I would check in is mouth to check for any signs of damage or mucus ect.
