Is there anything wrong with using this particular hand sanitizer before snake handling? Until it dry (about 5 mins) it gives off quite a strong alcohol smell. After dry, its undetectable by my nose.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it- although I have found some snakes don't like the smell of alcohol at all (even if you've been drinking it) and can be a bit more aggressive, particulary the kings and hognoses.
You have to use one with a alcohol content over about 60% otherwise I've heard they don't kill the bacteria, but I try and still with plain/basic ones rather than any with a strong scent of flowers etc. |
