How do you convince a snake to let go of a hand?

(Orion here seems to have developed a taste for thumbs and was doing his best to devour the last one he was chewing on.)

Thanks for that, Grumpy, it did take running water to convince him to let go this evening.

I then dried him off and told him, next time you bite, I bite back, mate!

How long can they hold their breath under water? I've been bitten a few times and may need to use your advice but I'm scared he'll drown.

Basically until they let go lol. Last time I had my hand in a jug of cold water for a couple of minutes and my cali king baby refused to let go, changed to sink with running water and he let go straight away.
