I have been very fortunate to get hold of some beauties this year - including my illusive dragon - a search of 6 years to get hold of one after my old babysitter killed my old one :(

So here we go..

Here's my big strapping lad, Grizwald CWD

Grizwalds missus Scatty... She was one of my original dragons 6 years ago, sadly mis-information led to bad snout damage but she is an Ambassador for the species, she comes into schools with me and puts on a great show with the kids. She is so inquisitive she will go straight up to them and loves playing the game 'chuck the waxworm amongst the kids so I can chase it' Guaranteed screaming and kids legging it to the back of the classroom but she loves it - nothing phases her at all!!!

Skin the sailfin, named by our 3yo little girl because she couldn't get her tongue around the word 'sailfin'
This has been my 6 year search. She is a Hysrosaurus pustulatus aka Phillipine sailfin dragon. Managed to get her cheap because she is missing a toe and the end of her tail. But I really dont care about perfection, I have one of the most prehistoric looking dragons. Currently searching for a mate for her - this sp. is incredibly endangered and I desperately want to get these bred in captivity. The females dont look as good as the males but they hold a little secret. Under the naked eye she is yellow / orange / black / green... however under flashlight and natural sunlight she reflects pink / purple / blue / lilac.
She was in a tank on her own however she grew depressed :( So with careful monitoring, I put her in with my water dragons where she started eating again and went back to her dragon self. And apart from a head bobbing contest with the male for the best basking branch - not a problem at all :D

and my fave picture of all time!!!

Lastly (for now ) These are my Borneo/Northern Forest dragons, Hipsilurus godefroy - Ren, Stimpy and the youngeest Nornor (named after my daughter 'eleanor')

ren playing peek-a-boo

nornor chilling on the grasses by the pool

Stimpy looking peeved in the quarantine tank!!!

yea I'll put up some viv pics :)

the sailfin cohabits with the CWD's with no problem at all. In fact she quickly learned behaviour around human interaction and tamed pretty easily because of them. I have tracked a poss male sailfin that needs some TLC - should hopefully pick him up at Hamm show next summer. Once she has a mate then she will go into a new tank with the male. But for the time being she is happy living with her distant cousins :)

Oh they are from the BCI, Khan, we had up until 2 weeks ago. We took it in because it had had a hard life and we got it back to full health.
1st owner kept it too dry... eye shields stuck on over several sheds and burst something in his eyes so he was blind
then our mates took it in and the missus' dad offered to build a bigger viv. Feeling sorry for it being in a small viv he built a chicken mesh cube for it to stay in while he built a new viv. And the BCI ripped himself to pieces trying to get out.

A year later from the incident we were asked to take him in because our mate was pregnant. However the BCI's skin was tissue paper thin, when he sloughed he ripped his new skin on the rock and branch :( Plus he had about 30 puss filled sores from midway down the body to the tail tip.

So 10 months of ACE High, Avipro, tamodine on wounds and proper sized rats we got him back to health. Then a friend of ours said he wanted a boa but every one he had seen was snappy. Khan was totally the opposite, so calm, rarely hissed and loved being handled. So we rehomed him. His grand-daughter now loves me forever and the BCI is her favouritest snake in the whole world.

I do love it when we nurse something back to health and rehome it to a loving home!
