Posted - 07/07/2009 : 11:52:00 Hello, I am brand new to this forum, I have joined because last night I was asked to take in a kingsnake that has returned after a year - it has been living under the floorboards - the owners can not keep it and they have asked me to take it in.
I know their basic care requirements, and have done a ton of research since last night, but I am hoping to get some help from you guys as to what to expect temprement wise?
I haven't seen her yet,she arrives tonight!

lol, nothing could put me off my common boa, been waiting ages for OH to agree to it! Getting a gtp in a year or so too, never thought he'd agree to that one but he did ! Got room (at the moment) for the new king, common boa, 1 more corn, and the gtp! and should be able to make more room once bathroom renovated, half the bathroom is in the bedroom at the moment! I can see a life long fasination with kings coming up, so will have to try to add, And 1 more King to the above list!! |

Posted - 07/07/2009 : 15:11:46 lol, im picking up a new snakie tomorrow and its too much to wait!!! I find that The Baron is only defensive in the viv, which is fair enough, if someone massive hand came and reached into my room and picked me up i'd probably musk and bite as well... although to be fair he hasnt musked or bitten me in a while... When out of his viv he is as good as gold |

Posted - 07/07/2009 : 15:00:06 am trying to remain calm and get on with my work but I just want to go home and get the new arrival settled!! am so excited, which is silly, as before last night I wasn't even that fussed by kings, seemed pretty similar to corns and I have three of them, but now it is coming I just want to see it soooooooo badly!!
Helping this one out by giving it a homeis going to mean delaying getting my common boa til later in the year, but I do not mind, am like a kid at christmas!! |

You are just trying to scare me now! It won't work!! MY evil corn keeps me well on my toes as it is, she is sooooo viv defensive!! Got her as a three year old, and so far she is resisting taming, but I AM going to win, last night she sat half hidden in a blanket on my lap for ages which was a nice change, usually she just bites at me and goes back in her hide!! |
