Hi chaps and chappesses.

Just giving you warning that I've spilled over from the CSF. No peace for you now.

Patience finally pays off, I've picked up an MBK rehomer from the SSPCA to add to my snake hostel. He(?) was held for me and is an adult about 4'9" and pretty laid back, no aggression when handled and only a wee tail buzz when I open the temporary RUB. Looks healthy and checked out fine with the SSPCA vet. Typical 'blue belly' and jet black apart from a few white freckles along the edge of the base plates. Photos will of course follow shortly.

Cheers, Alan.

Coffee (black of course) and choc chips if Graeme is buying.

Yes, that was the same rat snake. Have to say that I'm glad that you didn't yield to temptation. He's turned out to be a brilliant snake with loads of character.

Strange that they let him keep it after trying to sell it on.

I took a beating from him for half an hour and then we made pals. Never struck at me in anger since although I've had a couple of accidental nips.

All my snakes, except the oldest Corn are rehomers from the SSPCA.

So how is the other MBK doing?

I was very tempted with that ratsnake myself if it was the same one that was on the website.

The guy who took the other mbk ended up banned from alot of forums for trying to sell it within 2 weeks of getting it. He was reported to sspca and they apparently paid him a visit but he was allowed to keep it

He came via the Edinburgh/Lothian office in May 2011. He was only a small snake then who was found wandering down the street in Dundee. They brought him through to Glasgow office for me to collect though.

There was an adult one up for rehoming a few months later in Glasgow but I know who got that one. Did you try for it?

As long as you have the proper set up for the homecheck then it is a simple process.

Hi and welcome. My male MBK was a rescue from SSPCA as well. No problems with a rehome crash. They do a homecheck, you pay your rehoming fee and take your snake home
