hi to everyone i'm new to snake keeping i brought my first snake thursday she i a cali king snake a little treasure bit me twice while in the pet shop instant love lol.
while she was in the pet shop there policy was to only feed pinkies but she's a big snake for her age and i more then capable of Small's as she ate two fluffs today and they didn't touch the side. so i was just wondering if i should stick to every sunday feeding her smalls or if i should lengthen the time between feeding can anyone help ??

No problem. Wait till shes done a poo then you'll be weighing her empty. I use kitchen scales. Some of mine happily sit in them, others need to be placed in a tub to be weighed. Just weigh them in the tub then weigh the tub on its own and subtract to get the snakes weight  |

she feed a few hours ago but when i get her out in a couple of day I'll take some pics how should i go about weighing her?

Weekly feeding is perfect until shes onto much bigger food. I feed mine weekly up to medium mice. Once they get to large mice I feed every 10 days and once they move onto XL mice I feed every fortnight.
The petshop policy is pretty poor to be honest. The snakes should get the food they need.
Post some pics in the photo section and let us know her weight and we can advise on feeding etc.
